For this project, I was tasked with designing a Chinese Dragon head to cover an existing fireplace. The interior designer saw my work at the Grass Skirt and wanted something similar. I set out designing the dragon's head to scale of the fireplace dimensions and images they supplied, and gave them a full color design and a bare stone option. At the time, I had already moved to Dallas, TX and was working full time with swimming pool designs and builds. I hired another LA-based company that I was friends with to handle the sculpting and installation, while managing the project from afar. The Interior Designer and owner were extremely pleased with their new centerpiece. The Fortunate Son restaurant has gone on to have great success in the San Diego area.
